It’s been about a month since I gave you all a life update, so I’m doing another one. I know that in my update at the beginning of September, I said that August had been a wild month, but September was even more insane *in a good way*.
Hey guys, this week’s sermon notes are going to be late again because I was driving while listening to the message this week and obviously couldn’t take notes and drive. 🙂 I’ll try to listen to it again and take and upload notes by the end of the week, but the next couple of weeks are so busy so no promises.
Be sure to be on the lookout for some upcoming travel posts!
I’m back again with another verse that has been impactful to me. In this series, I’ve been taking you through several verses that helped me get through various seasons of my life and have a special place in my heart. I hope that as I share these verses with you and what they meant to me that you’ll find they apply to your life also and that you’ll find some encouragement in these posts! Now, let’s get on to this installment’s verse.
My family, friends, and I went to the Yellow Daisy festival this weekend at Stone Mountain Park, and then did a sunset hike up the mountain afterwords. Along the way, we found some of the yellow daisies for which the festival was named.
This one in particular captured my attention and I took a picture of it—because there was just one flourishing among the dead.
It reminded me of the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37:
I’m so excited to introduce my new friend Corrie to you all! She’s a DJ on my favorite radio station, and I’ve listened to her for several years. Last year, I would listen to her speak in the afternoons as I came home from cosmetology school, and it encouraged me to keep going. She was also a cosmetology student who wanted to keep her faith first in the life of glitter, glam, and make-your-own-way. A couple months ago, she shared on the radio that she wished for a friend who understood what she was going through, and I found her on social media and reached out to her. After chatting for a couple weeks, we met up in person and really enjoyed each other’s company (yes, if you’re studying the pictures, it was at a Waffle House). I asked her to guest blog today so that I could share her with you all; she radiates the joy of the Lord and wisdom, and is really a treasure.
Well, it’s been a while since the last Life Verses post, hasn’t it? I got so caught up in sharing my travel adventures that I just never got back around to telling you about some verses that impacted me for a season of my life. In case you’re new here and don’t remember the previous Life Verses posts, let me catch you up on what’s going on. In Christian circles, it’s not uncommon to hear people saying they have a “life verse” or asking other what their “life verse” is. This would be a verse that has stuck with them throughout their Christian life. For me, there’s not just one verse that’s a favorite or dear to my heart: there’s several. Each one made an impact for at least a couple months of my life for the season I was in. In this series, I’m going back through verses that have been special to me and telling you what they mean to me.
(Sorry this post is late!)

For some reason, I never did get around to pre-writing and scheduling posts this month. Or even this week. That’s why every single day, I’ve had to sit down and write out that day’s post. Today is no different in that regard; its only difference lies in the fact that today, I have no idea what to write about. I’ve prayed before writing this post that only the words that God wants written will be written, so let’s see where this goes!
