The Piece of Advice I Got From A Disney Movie: Things I Learned While Being a Teenager

In case you are new to the blog, let me catch you up on what’s going on during the month of December: I turned 20 in October and have been thinking about doing a blog post series about what I learned while I was a teenager.  I mentioned it to a friend of mine and I was recently reminded of that idea and requested to do it, so here I am.  I usually think better when I write things out by hand instead of trying to start typing on a blank white screen, so I wrote out a list of lessons I’d learned on a yellow legal pad.  When I did so, I saw that I had a much longer list than I had originally anticipated, much too long to do in one blog post.  So, I just wanted to give you a little forewarning! Be sure to send this to your teen and tween-age friends, and comment along the way what impacts you or what you learned from being a teenager–I love hearing from you! These blog posts may be a little shorter than normal, but I’ll try to incorporate personal stories or verses that go along with it to expand the concepts.

I’ll Give You What I Can’t Keep

This day has been beautiful and emotional and hectic.  A day of pressing in to hear from God and encouraging others.  The following post is an excerpt from a e-mail I sent some of my friends this morning.  The words have continued to ring true and echo throughout my day, so I decided to adapt them to share with you all also.

December Updates

Okay, okay, okay — it’s the post you’ve been waiting for all week! Updates! Where have I been? What have I been doing? What have I been thinking? When will I be back to writing? {Well, you may not have been that interested in my life or even realized that I’ve been slacking off on writing.  But if you have — and hey, even if you haven’t — here are the answers to those burning questions.}

November Favorites

November FLEW by, honestly.  I can’t believe we are on the other side of Thanksgiving day, although my wallet after Black Friday leaves me in no doubt that the holidays have indeed passed.  Now, as it’s ALREADY DECEMBER, I wanted to take a moment to look back over some of my favorite things from November.  The list isn’t super long, because I blinked and the month was over, but each item on here was very impactful to me.
