October Favorites

There were so many things that I loved and that ministered to me in the month of October (regardless of when they were released), so it’s been a bit of a process gathering some of them together into this post.  Even still, I apologize for the delay in getting it up! 🙂

Messages:

This message from Steffany Gretzinger spoke so many things in my spirit that my mind had yet to be able to articulate.  I watched it over and over and sent it to several people I serve alongside.  I highly, highly recommend watching this.

This whole Crazy Faith series has been phenomenal, but these two messages from it this month were especially good.

Music:

This song just came out right at the end of October, but it’s been on repeat for me nonetheless, and the lyrics hit a deeper place every time I worship to it.

Every song I have listed on here is a song that has brought a new depth to the way I adore Jesus this month.  They’ve shifted more than my atmosphere; they’ve shifted my heart.  I cannot recommend them enough.

Books:

You are the Girl for the Job by Jess Connolly has been a word I’ve needed in this season of my life.  I’m still reading it, but each chapter has been spot-on that I have no doubt the rest of the book will be as well.

Anne of Ingleside by Lucy Maud Montgomery.  Anytime I read a book in the Anne of Green Gables series, I feel like I’m coming home in and to my heart.  Coming home to a place where imagination and dreams are natural and normal and everyday life, instead of being resigned to childhood.  This book was no disappointment in that regard.  I laughed aloud, I smiled, I teared up.  These books have a magic to them that call to my heart.  I’ve read them slowly over my tween/teen/twenties so I can grow up alongside Anne (although she’s definitely ahead of where I am in life in this book!).  It’s like having another sister, another kindred spirit, reading these novels.

Anyway.  Enough rambling. 🙂

Other:

The Matcha Green Tea Latte Mix from Kroger’s Private Selection brand has been a welcome return into my fall tea collection.

Okay, well, that should give you enough things to check out to last you until the November favorites post, so I’ll end it here.

Much love,
