September Favorites

Here we are again at the end of another month, with another list of things I’ve enjoyed.

September Favorites

Messages:

As I’ve been saying, this whole series is fantastic, but each one just goes to a whole new level.  This installment is no different; I’ve watched it at least four times, and it just came out a week ago.

Music:

I found this song last week and it has been playing almost non-stop, whether just in my head or through YouTube.  The lyrics stir up my faith and hope and remind me of Who and what I’m believing in and for.  It has helped me through what could have been a hard time to believe by turning it into an opportunity to command my soul to bless the Lord.

This song, by the same people, has also been incredible in lifting my spirit and reminding me of what God says.  If I’m not singing the first song, I’m probably singing this one.

This set has been one I’ve worshipped with multiple times this month.  The combination of songs, again reminding myself that God is Who He says He is and that He does what He says He’ll do has just all the more encouraged my faith.

Another great song to praise in the waiting, this song has helped me determine to keep my chin up and my eyes on the lookout for a move of God.

THIS. SONG.  What a way to start out the month of September.  What power.  What a shift in the way I’ve understood my identity in Christ as well as the identity of Christ.  I’ve been singing this over and over as well and the reminder that His banner over me is love has been so powerful.

Media:

  • I got to watch the Downton Abbey movie this month, and I enjoyed it.  The scenery, characters, costumes, and music were all lovely.  The plot was a little lame and with the unnecessary drama that I’ve come to expect from Downton Abbey, but it wasn’t terrible.  There were some scenes I could’ve done without and some scenes I wish that would’ve been put in, but overall, it was a nice, relaxing movie to watch and I would watch it again.
  • Poldark Season Five!! If you’ve been subscribed for a while, you may remember my love of the British historical drama TV show, Poldark.  Season five, the final season, just started last night, and I’m full of bittersweet feelings over it.

Well, that gives you plenty of content to explore, so I hope you end up finding a new thing to like in this list!

Much love,
