Since returning home from Peru, I’ve gotten a chance to travel to Charlotte, North Carolina. I always leap at the chance to go to Charlotte, not only because I have family in the area that I love visiting with (although that would be the main reason!), but also because there are so many fun things to do in and around the Charlotte area. Today on the blog I wanted to share three things I’ve enjoyed in my time in Charlotte.
I visited this library when I only had about 45 minutes to an hour to run through it. It was *barely* enough time, as there are guided tours, so I would give yourself more time than that so you can stop and read all the plaques and things.
If you’re in town over a weekend, definitely check out Elevation Church! They are the church that I post my notes from every Tuesday, and they have three services–one on Saturday evenings and two on Sunday mornings, and they have campuses all around the Charlotte area.
3. An Escape Room!
This is something that you can do in any city, but I recently did one in my hometown, and then when I travelled to Charlotte I wanted to do one with my family there. We found a deal on Groupon for this escape room. It was only the second escape room we’d ever done, and for some people on our team the first. We didn’t solve it in time but the guy running it was great and easily adapted it to be more family-friendly. I would highly recommend checking out this location as the puzzles were fun and yet made sense and you weren’t left scratching your head, wondering what to do next.
Have you been to Charlotte? What are some of your favorite things to do in the city?
