Exploring New Orleans

Earlier this summer, I made a trip to New Orleans with my younger sister.  I’ve been meaning to share some pictures from my travels with you all and keep forgetting, but since I’m been doing so many travel posts lately from my time in Peru I thought maybe it would all flow together. 🙂

We stayed with some friends in New Orleans while visiting them and family, so most of our time was spent with them, but we did take a day to explore the city.

We explored the market, ate gumbo and had beignets at Cafe du Monde, shopped in the mall (because it was air-conditioned and hot outside), and rode our first streetcar.

Have you been to (or do you live in) New Orleans? What are your favorite things to do there?

Much love,
