Another month has ended and it’s time for me to spill the tea on my favorite things I enjoyed!
Yes, I’m actually being literal here: I discovered (and fell in love with) two new teas this past month:
I found this in the Lima, Peru airport on my travels in July and I ordered three cups of it while waiting on my layovers; it was so delicious. I haven’t been able to find it in the States, which is sad, but the workers at my local Starbucks like experimenting and making new drinks, so maybe I’ll get lucky and find something that tastes similar.
I’m actually sipping on this tea as I write this post. I like that it’s caffeine free, so I can have it in the afternoon and not have to worry about not being able to fall asleep. It is really calming too, and the flavor is good enough on it’s own that I don’t sweeten it with anything (although I do take out the tea bag a couple minutes after brewing though because it can get too strong quickly).
I listened to this song pretty much everyday while I was in Peru overcoming several fears. It reminded me that I am not doing this life on my own, and that I am safe and covered when I am abiding in Christ.
This is another song that encouraged me by reminding me who God is, even when circumstances look hard.
I have been so refreshed and comforted by Psalm 23 in The Passion Translation.
I have been following Jess and Gabriel Conte for years now, and have been praying for and eagerly awaiting the day that Jess would get her residency in the US and be able to travel internationally again, and that day finally came! I’ve loved watching the journey and the filming and editing that Gabe did to support and celebrate her in this is just amazing. The series trailer is below, and a couple of episodes have already been uploaded on their channel.
I’ve also loved following Sarah’s Day; since she found out she was pregnant, I’ve followed along her journey of living healthy, giving birth, and continuing to purpose to make healthy choices. She recently uploaded a recipe video that I’m eager to try as everything looked delicious!
“Do one thing every day that scares you.” Eleanor Roosevelt
“You know your mind is renewed when the impossible looks logical.” Bill Johnson
Hopefully you all can find something new to love out of this list, and if anyone knows how to find that Starbucks drink without going to the Lima airport again, let me know! 🙂
