Welcome back to the blog! Sorry it’s been so sparse in the posting lately; I’ve had so much going on with school and travels and jobs. Hopefully I’ll get around to posting an update later.
This week’s worship was a mix of old and new Elevation Worship songs, including “Echo“, “Love Won’t Give Up”, “It Is So”, and “There is a Cloud“.
Lysa TerKeurst was our speaker this week, which was so exciting! Her message was based off of her new book, It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way, which you can read my review of here.
Scriptures Referenced:
My notes:
- We can’t just have a “one day: faith; we must have a “today” faith.
- The enemy wants us to believe God’s commands are too hard to understand and too difficult to live out.
- The enemy is a perverter, God is a Creator.
- God wasn’t withholding anything from Eve; He was protecting her from something she was never supposed to carry.
- We will steer where we stare.
- The enemy would love for us to believe we are something wrong, not just that we’ve done something wrong.
- Lies you believe about yourself become labels you stick on yourself which becomes a liability in your relationships.
- The enemy can influence us in isolation.
- God isn’t after changed behavior; He’s after a changed heart.
We finished by singing “Here Again“.

Like the content you see and want to support me? The best ways to do so are to follow my blog, share it with your friends, and to Buy me a coffee. Thanks for your support!
First of all, I really like your writing. I will read the book review and listen to Lysa’s message.
This may seem like a strange request, but had do you get particular symbols/signs into your blog? Your layout is simple and yet savvy. Did you go through Blogger’s University offered by WordPress? I need to go through it again.
In any event, any hints/resources you could share would be very appreciated. I still have a lot to learn about the blogging world. Blessings, Patty

Hi Patty! Thanks so much for your sweet words! I am so glad you like my writing–it’s hard to keep up the schedule I set for myself and I think I often wear myself out, so reading comments like yours encourage me that it’s all worth it! Thank you for reading my book review too; I hope you’re encouraged by Lysa’s message too! I’m not sure which symbols you’re referring to, but I’ll do my best to answer you: I LOVE my layout too! It’s the theme called “Rosalie” with WordPress. I did go through the Blogging University with WordPress and I loved it–highly recommend! I should probably go back through it again too ;). The pictures I have on my site, the graphics, like the “Sunday Notes” and even my signature at the bottom of posts, are made for free on Canva.com. I just play around with different themes and customizing them and creating graphics, so it’s mostly just trial and error and changing my mind a lot to get the look my blog has now! 🙂 Blessings right back atcha! -Callie Susanna
