December Favorites

Happy new year and here’s a belated posting of some of my favorite things that I enjoyed throughout the month of December!

My friend sent this teaching from the singer of Tenth Avenue North.  I’ve loved his teaching videos (as well as songs) in the past, so I took some time to sit down and watch this and it was really good.  It also kind of conglomerated his previous 5-minute teachings all together into this one, so don’t worry if you’re not familiar with his other ones.

I always love hearing what Sadie Robertson has to say, and this message was no different.  Funny, encouraging, and just a great thing to listen to.

I have loved blasting this song throughout the speakers at my house and singing to it at the top of my lungs.  It has been the cry of my heart this month.

This is another song I’ve had on repeat this month.  It was really a month of drawing closer and getting to know God more, of having an upgrade in faith and hope and getting to know God’s heart.

The Duolingo Spanish podcast! I’ve been doing Duolingo for maybe 2 or 3 months now, but recently discovered that they have a podcast too.  It’s a mix of Spanish and English telling a fascinating story of travel or adventure, usually about 10-20 minutes long.  I’ve been trying to listen to several each week, and just finished season 1 of the podcast.  I found it on Apple Podcasts.  The stories have been really interesting and I’ve been able to understand most of the Spanish (I had about 2.5 years of Spanish in high school but haven’t studied it recently, so I did have prior knowledge but it’s been a while.)

The Kindle Paperwhite: I got this for Christmas after having broken my previous 3yr. old paper white in January, and I have loved it! I can’t say enough good things about kindle products–I’ve already read 2 or 3 books on it since Christmas and have been enjoying borrowing books from the Kindle lender’s library with Prime.

love first, love well, love anyway-4

P.S. The link to the kindle paper white is my affiliate link to amazon, meaning that if you purchase it through that link I’ll get a small commission–just another easy way to support me in my writing! 🙂
