Today my friend from Lace Devotion Ministries is back with another great word! If you missed her last post with me, you can find it here.
Have you ever felt like there was something so big on the horizon… that maybe you were a little fearful of it.
Whatever “it” is.
The good news is this, whatever is coming down the pipeline is irrelevant to God’s love, grace and His will.
Recently I’ve been trying to make a decision about something pretty big.
Life altering or it could be…
And I’m waiting on answers. God’s answer.
But here is the good news, no matter the answer, God remains. The facts of His love are still true. He is faithful regardless.
He is pulling me to Himself continually.
Maybe you’re facing something BIG.
Maybe fear is starting to feel like an unwanted life partner.
I keep coming back to asking one question over and over: wait, me?
You’re calling me to what now?
But He wants us to walk in faith.
He wants us to be strong and courageous.
To be still and KNOW that He is God. That He is good and there is no one better to write our stories. They are full of adventure, and often times the unknown comes into play.
But it is not unknown to Him.
Rest assured that He is not changing or going anywhere.
I know God is calling me more and more to be intentional with others. To love others with the love He shows me.
How He is faithful and how He fills us!!
Rest assured as you walk on YOUR PATH.
Rest assured that He is making it straight.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
First off, this is a PROMISE. Trusting Him means leaning on Him and not your brain power. It is TAKING THAT STEP, even when you can’t see the next one. It is taking that job. Talking to that girl. Walking even with only enough light for this step.
Acknowledge Him and HE WILL make your paths straight. This means when they don’t look straight to you. Maybe the path before you looks curvy and dark. He helps us one step at a time and yet, He has the whole path down… straight.
Get this: HE ALONE sees the big picture. What an Author we have! That He is on this step with us and not only knows it but has the best plan in mind for everyone.
You may be wondering, what can I do as I trust and acknowledge?
Read God’s Word. Trust me there is nothing cliché about letting His Word enter those unknown places.
“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105
A lady I greatly esteem once told me something powerful about this verse in Psalm, “God gives you enough light for THIS step. The lamp is at your feet, it does not reveal the WHOLE path.”
Enough light for THIS STEP and maybe the next but we don’t take the entire path in all at once. As much as us planners would like to… *raises hand*…guilty. We go with the lamp, one step at a time.
You long for an answer? Walk the path with the One speaking continually to you through His Word.
He is right here, open your Bible and let Him enter those unknown places. He knows the way. He is preparing you right now for the answer you long for.
Pray with me,
Prepare me for this answer I am seeking. Help me to seek You with all of me. I am trusting in taking this step. Help me keep walking even into the unknown. You KNOW the way. Thank You for the light. Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for knowing the answer right now but also waiting to reveal it in the best time. You are the greatest Author! Thank You for this part of my story and for making me part of Your story. Reveal to me ways I can love others more and to continue here and now as I wait for You to reveal the answer.
In Christ name,
