You’re Gonna Love Me

You’re Gonna Love Me was my first book by Robin Lee Hatcher.  I follow a blog that she co-writes on with several other authors, so I’ve been aware of some her latest releases, but never have had time to sit down and pick one up until recently.

I love the cover design on this book and how it ties together characters, outfits, and gifts all mentioned in the book right on the cover.  Usually I feel as if the covers don’t portray the characters correctly or have any element from the story in them, but this one did a nice job.

Anyway, onto the book.  This was a sweet story following two characters who had dated before the start of the book but had a disagreement and broke it off.  Due to a couple of accidents, the characters are back in the same town and strike up a cautious friendship.

I like the element of these two already knowing each other because there wasn’t any awkwardly fast getting to know each other type of thing going on, as sometimes happens in romance novels.  The small-town feel of the book was sweet and added to the story’s overall charm.  I would definitely recommend this light-hearted read with a good lesson on overcoming fear and learning to love again.

Thank you to the Thomas nelson and Zondervan Fiction Guild for providing me with a copy of this book.  All opinions are my own.
