Never Forget

Never Forget by Jody Hedlund is the fifth installment of the “Beacons of Hope” series, which I dearly hope that there will be more of, even though the author says this is the last book in the series.  Each book works as a stand alone, and they get better as the series goes on, which I’ve found to be unusual.

Abbie Watson takes care of the lighthouse and her aging grandfather since her husband left her.  She has since found his pocket watch on a man washed ashore after a shipwreck, and if the knowledge of her husband’s passing became widespread, she could lose her position.  Thus, she keeps the news hidden…but when a man who doesn’t remember where he came from turns up after a terrible storm, Abbie takes him in.  From overhearing conversations as he is recovering, the man assumes he is Abbie’s husband.

As mentioned in the first paragraph, I loved this book.  It had a unique plot and lovable characters, and I was instantly hooked.  There were many twists and turns that I never saw coming.

Thanks to the author for providing me with an electronic copy of this book to read and review.  All opinions are my own and were not required to be positive.
